unlocked building, into the meeting room. When he saw me, his face darkened instantly. "Why are you here?" he asked, his voice cold.

I swallowed and said, "I just wanted to make sure the contract was signed."

He sneered, "You think I'm stupid? I told you to stay away from the company, but you didn't listen."

I lowered my head, "I'm sorry, sir. I won't do it again."

He stared at me for a moment, then said, "Fine. But if I catch you here again, I'll throw you out of the company."

I nodded, "Yes, sir."

He walked over to the table and took the contract. He read it carefully, then looked at me and said, "I hope you remember what you promised."

I nodded, "I will."

He handed me a pen, "Sign here."

I took the pen and signed my name. He took the contract and said, "From today on, you are my wife. You better not let me down."

I nodded, "I won't."

He smiled slightly, "Good. Now, let's go home."

I followed him to his car. He helped me into the back seat and said, "Drive."
